The mission of the Midland Concert Band Scholarship program is to encourage the instrumental band students in Midland County to improve and enhance their musical experiences. Our funds provide private lessons, attendance at a summer camp such as Blue Lake, or helping with the purchase of a new instrument.
Criteria include the musical ability of the student, the completed application and essay detailing their interest and commitment to their school band program, and a statement of intent for what the scholarship will be used for. Band directors also submit a recommendation for the student.
MCB is able to provide several scholarships to Midland County high school musicians each year. MCB also manages the selection process for several endowed scholarships from $500-$1000 in value. Current scholarships are listed below.
